Ah, the crisp morning air, the cozy blankets, the fall colors. Change is in the air and the holidays are quickly approaching! And while it can be a time of family and festivities, it can also be a time of overindulging, lack of exercise, moodiness, and weight gain.
But there's still time to establish new habits and become HOLIDAY PROOF and prepare you for the months ahead!
1. Get Committed:
Commit ASAP to your health/wellness goals so that when the holidays come, you have a head start on new habits that will support you during the holidays. The first few days or week will feel like you're WILLING yourself to do it, but soon it will be a new habit. Just get started now and get the hard part over with!
2. Get a Buddy:
I can't stress enough how important it is to find like-minded people to band together with to meet your health goals. No healthy buddies? Join a yoga studio, meetup group, post a "health buddy wanted" sign on the board at work, or ask Facebook friends to join you for a challenge. When you share your goals with others, you will help each other succeed.
3. Act Now - Analyze Later:
Taking action toward our goals is the best way to start a new habit. Get REAL FOOD into the house; prep it so it's ready to go for your busy life; put your running shoes/workout clothes by the bed; and get that water bottle filled with high quality water. Don't overthink it. Just take action!
3. Get a Health Coach:
We hire coaches to improve our performance in sports, business, life-planning, and even singing (e.g. Blake, Adam, Gwen, and Pharrell on The Voice.) So why not hire a coach when we want to reach optimal health?
As a health coach, I will help you define your goals, clear your path of the obstacles that tend to get in your way, develop action steps and a formula JUST FOR YOU, and be your guide all the way to the finish line. Nothing would light me up more than to help you feel your best!
