PALEO? VEGAN? KETOGENIC? MACROBIOTIC? WHICH DIET IS BEST?
I have been asked this question so many times that I have a sneaky suspicion you're probably confused and frustrated as well.
With so many conflicting messages filtering in daily about the BEST WAY to go about losing weight, being healthy, and preventing/reversing disease, we are left with a brain cramp. No wonder we want to give up before we even get started.
It can be very overwhelming!
Who should we believe? After all, the respective doctors, experts, and loyal followers all seem equally convincing and have scientific studies and data to prove their theories.
So what is the TRUTH?
This question actually used to keep me up at night! Especially since my passion is helping people find Optimal Health, I felt it imperative to know.
So I decided that in order to really be sure of the answer, I would have to become my own lab experiment. So that's exactly what I did. I tried them all (at least the most popular ones) and unveiled the answer. Are you ready? Here it is:
There is no BEST DIET.
I know that may be super disappointing and probably sounds like a cop-out, but stay with me for a minute.
What I mean is there is no best diet for EVERYONE. There is, of course, a best diet for YOU!
What I learned after having experimented is that there are foods that make me feel bloated. There are foods that make me feel energized. There are foods that make me lose weight. There are foods that make me lose/gain muscle. There are foods that make me think more clearly. There are foods that make my joint pain disappear. And there are foods that make my digestive system work like a charm!
Once I started paying attention and after some trial and error, I came up with my own "Sherri's Thrive Formula." Now this formula may or may not be the same formula for you, but there surely is a formula for you. You just have to find it!
And when you do, it is pure freedom! There is nothing like knowing exactly what to eat and what to avoid to feel and perform your best. Your brain can finally be free to think about way more fun things, like, "What do I want to do with my precious life now that the health piece is sorted out?"
